Good quality salad vegetable with medium-sized fruit of excellent flavour. Can be grown indoors or outdoors. The tomato is acidic; this acidity makes tomatoes especially easy to preserve in home canning whole and in pieces, as tomato sauce.

Directions
Indoors - space the seeds 2cm apart in trays or individually in modules under glass at 18C. Cover with polythene or glass to retain humidity. Remove cover as soon as seedlings appear. Once true leaves have opened, prick off tray seedlings into 9cm pots. When the first flowers are forming, transplant to growing site. Stake for support and remove side shoots as they appear.
