Primrose Seeds

This hardy perennial, also known as the Easter Rose, is ideal for naturalising in open woodland and grassy banks in sun or shade. Prefers moisture-retentive soil. Height 15cm.

Directions
Outdoors - sow outside from March to April. Some seeds will germinate but most will wait until after the following winter. Be patient! Mixing the seed with damp sand in a plastic bag and leaving in the refrigerator for several weeks before sewing, will encourage out of season germination.
Indoors - sow from September to October, in a tray, on the surface of good quality compost. Cover with glass until germination takes place. Place tray outside and leave over the winter to be frosted. Bring inside in early spring to speed germination.
