Also known as Paigale, Fairy Cups and Keys of Heaven, this hardy perennial has leaves similar to the primrose and the creamy-yellow fragrant flowers are borne on straight stems. Grow in sun or part shade in good garden soil. Height 20cm. Spread 15cm.

Directions
Sow from September to October in a tray, on the surface of good quality compost (without sand). Cover with glass until germination takes place. Germination may be slow, so be patient! To encourage the seed to break dormancy, it may be frozen and thawed several times by placing in the freezer before sowing. Flowers from April to May.
